Training and
recruitment of new officers
In the following 3 - 5 years, the
aim of the National Customs Board is to improve personnel
management by introducing new standards of recruiting and
competence, promoting self-education, honesty, support of state
policy, and the effective fulfilment of official
responsibilities.
The National Customs Board must
ensure regular access of customs officers to professional
education and qualification upgrading, and the continuous
improvement of the training system. The National Customs Board
will state the most important tasks and priorities in the
development of the training programme, and will ensure that
training is given at the right time, particularly in relation to
organisational and procedural changes.
