Sending Nation is the

Participant who enters a Host Nation.

11. "Military authorities" means

those authorities that are empowered by law to enforce military

regulations with respect to the members of the armed forces.

12. "Operational Command" means

the military authority granted to a commander to assign missions

or tasks to subordinate commanders, to deploy units, to reassign

forces, and to retain or delegate operational and/or tactical

control as may be deemed necessary. It does not (of itself)

include responsibility for administration or logistics.

13. "Operational Control" means

the military authority granted to a commander to direct forces

assigned so that the commander may accomplish specific missions

or tasks which are usually limited by function, time or location;

to deploy units concerned, and to retain or assign tactical

control of those units. It does not include authority to assign

separate employment of components of the units concerned. Neither

does it (of itself) include administrative or logistic

control.

14. "TO&E means Table of

Organisation and Equipment.

15. "Participants" means the Chief

of Defence of the Republic of Estonia, the Ministry of Defence of

the Republic of Latvia and the Armed Forces of the Republic of

Lithuania, hereinafter referred to as the Baltic Participants,

and the Chief of Defence, Denmark.

16. "Senior National

Representatives" mean the members of BALTSQN 4 - 6 who have been

appointed by the respective chiefs of defence to represent the

national Baltic authorities in the Area of Operation.

17. "SFOR" means the NATO

Stabilisation Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
