Šis līgums stājas spēkā sešdesmit (60) dienas pēc

dienas, kad pa diplomātiskajiem kanāliem ir saņemts pēdējais

rakstiskais paziņojums, ar kuru Puses paziņo viena otrai par

iekšējo procedūru izpildi, kas nepieciešamas, lai Līgums stātos

spēkā.

Parakstīts Ņujorkā 2010.gada 23.septembrī divos

oriģinālos eksemplāros latviešu, spāņu un angļu valodā, kuru visi

teksti ir vienlīdz autentiski. Atšķirīgas interpretācijas

gadījumā noteicošais ir teksts angļu valodā.

Agreement between the Government of the

Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Republic of Chile on

Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic,

Official and Service Passports

The Government of the Republic of Latvia and the

Government of the Republic of Chile (hereinafter referred to as

the "Parties"),

Desiring to strengthen the amity links between both

States,

Have agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. Holders of valid diplomatic and service passports

issued by the Republic of Latvia are allowed multiple entries

into the territory of the Republic of Chile and may stay in said

country for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days during a half a

year without obtaining visa. This term may be renewed by the

competent authorities of the Republic of Chile, but the original

and extended stay shall not exceed six month within a

year.

2. Holders of valid diplomatic and official passports

issued by the Republic of Chile are allowed multiple entries into

the territory of the Republic of Latvia and may stay in said

country for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days during a half a

year without obtaining visa. This term may be renewed by the

competent authorities of the Republic of Latvia, but the original

and extended stay shall not exceed six month within a

year.

Article 2

1. Holders of valid diplomatic, official and service

passports of either Party assigned to a Diplomatic or Consular

Mission may enter, stay in the territory of the other Party and

leave the territory of the receiving State without a visa during

the term of their assignment.

2. Similar rules shall apply to the family members of

said officers, provided that they hold valid diplomatic, official

or service passports.

Article 3

The visa exemption established under this Agreement

shall not release the holders of diplomatic, official and service

passports of either Party from the obligation to respect the laws

and regulations in force within the territory of the other

Party.

Article 4

Each Party reserves the right to deny entry into its

territory or to terminate the stay of holders of valid

diplomatic, official and service passports of other Party in case

if the person is deemed undesirable.

Article 5

1. Parties shall exchange, through the diplomatic

channels, specimens of the passports referred to in Article 1

hereof, at least thirty (30) days in advance of the entry into

force of this Agreement.

2. If either Party modify the passports referred in

Article 1 of this Agreement or introduces new travel document

after the entry into force of the present Agreement, it shall

send to the other Party a specimen of the new travel document by

the diplomatic channels at least thirty (30) days in advance of

its introduction.

Article 6

This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period of

time. Either Party may terminate it by written notice through the

diplomatic channels ninety (90) days in advance.

Article 7

Any disputes arise in the course of implementation and

application of this Agreement, the Parties shall settle by

negotiations and consultations through diplomatic

channels.

Article 8

This Agreement may be amended upon mutual written

agreement between the Parties. Such amendments shall enter into

force in accordance with Article 9.

Article 9

This Agreement shall enter into force sixty (60) days

after the date of the last written notification through

diplomatic channels by which the Parties notify each other that

internal legal procedures for its entry into force have been

fulfilled.

Done at New York on the 23rd day of September, two

thousand and ten, in duplicate, in the Latvian, Spanish and

English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of

divergence in interpretation, the English text shall

prevail.
