Līgums ir noslēgts uz piecu (5) gadu periodu un stājas spēkā
dienā, kad saņemts Pušu pēdējais rakstiskais paziņojums pa
diplomātiskajiem kanāliem, kas apstiprina, ka ir izpildītas to
iekšējās procedūras, kas nepieciešamas, lai šis Līgums stātos
spēkā.
Ja neviena no Pusēm vismaz sešus (6) mēnešus pirms iepriekš
minētā laika perioda beigām ar diplomātisko kanālu starpniecību
rakstiski nepaziņo otrai Pusei par tās vēlmi izbeigt šī Līguma
darbību, Līgums tiek automātiski pagarināts uz piecu (5) gadu
periodiem.
Parakstīts Baku 2009. gada 10. augustā divos
oriģināleksemplāros latviešu, azerbaidžāņu un angļu valodā, visi
teksti ir vienlīdz autentiski. Līguma atšķirīgas interpretācijas
gadījumā noteicošais ir teksts angļu valodā.

Agreement between the
Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the
Republic of Azerbaijan on Co-operation in the Fields of Youth and
Sport
The Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of
the Republic of Azerbaijan, hereinafter referred to as the
Parties,
Being guided by a desire to strengthen ties and develop
traditionally friendly relations between the people of two
states,
Being confident that close relations and co-operation in the
fields of youth and sport will deepen mutual understanding
between young generations of the Republic of Latvia and the
Republic of Azerbaijan
Have agreed on the following:
Article 1
The Parties shall contribute into development of relations
between youth and sport organizations working in their
states.
Article 2
The Parties shall render assistance in participation of sport
organizations at sport events.
Article 3
The Parties shall promote development of relations and
co-operation by below mentioned means:
- By providing appropriate conditions for direct co-operation,
relations and exchange between bodies, organizations and also
individuals working with youth and sport policies.
- By providing assistance in holding bilateral youth and sport
events in the territory of the Republic of Latvia and in the
territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Article 4
The Parties shall encourage and facilitate co-operation among
research organizations and centres, including mutual exchange of
information under provisions of the Agreement.
Article 5
The Parties shall facilitate organization of leisure for youth
and children and exchange of schoolchildren and student groups
during the summer vocation.
Article 6
The Parties shall promote co-operation in the fields of
high-level sport, sport for all, youth sport, and sport for
persons with disabilities and the sport facilities.
Article 7
The Parties shall exchange invitations to participate in
festivals, conferences, symposiums, seminars, contests,
exhibitions, and other similar meetings.
Article 8
The Parties shall promote exchange of experience between sport
specialists, trainers and other experts in order to provide
adequate information about sport development of their respective
countries.
Article 9
The Parties shall encourage direct co-operation between sport
and youth organizations in order to promote the exchange of
delegations, teams, trainers, and experts.
Article 10
With a view to the implementation of this Agreement the annual
executive programme shall be drawn up.
Article 11
The Parties shall encourage the exchange of information on
policies, programs, and activities in the field of sport and
youth policy.
Article 12
Any disputes between the Parties concerning the interpretation
or implementation of this Agreement shall be settled through
consultations and negotiations.
Article 13
Any additions and amendments may be made to this Agreement
with mutual consent of the Parties. Such additions and amendments
shall be made in a form of separate Protocols being an integral
part of this Agreement and shall enter into force in accordance
with the provisions of Article 14 of this Agreement.
Article 14
This Agreement is concluded for a period of five (5) years and
shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the Parties of
the last written notification through diplomatic channels
confirming the completion of their respective internal procedures
required for the entry into force of this Agreement.
If neither Party notifies other in writing through diplomatic
channels, at least six (6) month prior to expiration of the
abovementioned period of time, about its desire to terminate this
Agreement, the Agreement is automatically extended for periods of
five (5) years.
Done in Baku on 10 August, 2009, in two original copies in
Latvian, Azerbaijani, and English languages, all texts being
authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation of the present
Agreement the English text shall prevail.

un ilgtspējīgu attīstību,
Vēloties Pušu starpā uzsākt un attīstīt pastāvīgas divpusējas
attiecības ilgtspējīgas attīstības jomā, bet jo īpaši - vides
aizsardzībā,
Ievērojot Riodežaneiro Deklarāciju par vidi un
attīstību, kas pieņemta 1992. gada 14. jūnijā
Riodežaneiro, un ņemot vērā Konvenciju par pieeju
informācijai, sabiedrības dalību lēmumu pieņemšanā un iespēju
griezties tiesu iestādēs saistībā ar vides jautājumiem, kas
pieņemta 1998. gada 25. jūnijā Orhūsā, Apvienoto
Nāciju Tūkstošgades deklarāciju, kas parakstīta
2000. gada 8. septembrī un Johannesburgas
Deklarāciju par ilgtspējīgu attīstību un Rīcības plānu, kas
pieņemta 2002. gada 4. septembrī Johannesburgā,
